Patch notes for Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC: fixes for rdr2 crash and modifications to Arthur’s metabolism

Rockstar has released a number of fresh fixes for Red Dead Redemption 2 PC(opens in new tab) that address everything from rdr2 crash to Arthur’s oddly quick metabolism. Players who played the game on PC noticed that it had a problem similar to that of Dark Souls or The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, where running the game at a higher framerate causes time to pass more quickly than it should. As a result, Arthur’s overall health deteriorated more quickly than usual, and the weather and day-night cycles passed more quickly than they should have. I call it the Grandma Principle, where no matter how much you eat, grandma still thinks you’re too thin. Apparently, he needed to be fed far too frequently and was still far too skinny.

In addition to fixing some other lingering problems with crashes and other bugs, Rockstar has released a patch to increase the amount of time that passes for higher framerates. You can visit this website(opens in new tab) for information on how to fix crashing problems if you have an NVIDIA graphics card and a 4-core or 6-core CPU.The complete patch notes are available here(opens in new tab), or you can continue reading below to see them and the larger patch that was released before this one.
